BBQ Knives

At the sawmill we’re all very keen on barbecue. Keen (and greedy), but in awe of those who have taken it to an art form. Accessible, companionable, easy to learn but hard to master BBQ ticks all of our boxes for so many reasons. We also passionately believe that the BBQ crowd are not well-served by the knives out there – uncustomisable, mostly made from cheap steel and often intended to be disposable. So we have done something about it, adding our favourite BBQ knives to the configurator and with an exciting new range launching in the spring.

Customise our Finest

Our custom knives have been assessed by CATRA to be in the top 2.5% of blades tested globally, rated excellent for both sharpness and durability. Individually hardened in small batches, hand-thinned and polished they will be your constant companion whatever you throw against them. Each of our custom knives is guaranteed for life and we offer a free re-sharpening and conditioning service for the first three years.

You can customise your blades from our huge selection materials and colours and in addition to adding text as your engraving are more than welcome to send us your own designs.

DNA BBQ – Coming Spring 2023

Our DNA range are chef’s knives that concentrate on the essence of a good knife – high quality steel, hardened carefully to 60HRC, with great ergonomics and a sharp (but durable) cutting edge. But available in a matter of days and at a different price point to our fully customisable blades.

We’re now planning to extend the DNA range in to the realm of BBQ, with a selection of our most apt knives currently being tested as prototypes.

We’re looking to gather a coalition of the willing so that we can kick the whole process off with a limited first edition. special commissions, crazy one-offs and a whole batch of people who can prepare for their Barbecues with knives that have been carefully and precisely designed for the task.
